Most of you that have lived here in Coffeyville a while probably know me and know that I am also a Police Officer. When Selco (our previous locksmith) retired and moved away, the Police Department kept getting calls about vehicle and house lockouts. (The Police Department does not open vehicles except for emergencys (child or animal locked inside) and only kicks door on houses for similar emergencys.) After hearing about some of these calls, I realised that I had been unlocking vehicles for the Police Department for several years when we did do it. In fact I already had my own tool for it. I had also been munipulating door locks since I was a teenager (nothing illegal). I decided to practice picking locks and mentioned to a few friends of my thoughts. Next thing I knew, a friend who had just become a realtor asked me to open a locked house and change the lock. After that I started my business. Next I started having people ask me if I could rekey a lock. I did more research and bought some equipment and then I was taking classses and teaching myself how to become a locksmith along with help form other locksmiths from all over.
Now I can help you with most all of your locksmith needs. I say most because I not yet mastered safes but I am researching and learning more and more all the time.
