PARMAC L.L.C. is pleased to announce the finalization of an agreement for the purchase of the company by a familiar group headed by one of the founding owners, Robert B. Strassler. The culmination of the purchase means the continued operation under knowledgeable ownership that has been a part of the operations since 1966. The product line of water brakes were born in Parkersburg WV, in 1929, and later transferred to the plant where the manufacturing continues in Coffeyville, KS. The company was originally named Parkersburg Rig and Reel. In 1966 the company was purchased and the name was changed to PARMAC L.L.C. Known worldwide as the industry leader in water assist brakes, it services a wide range of demand for the oil and gas industries, as well as winch and windlass applications. The officers of the company will remain as does the staff that services today’s customer requirements.
